This highly regarded international organization’s mission is to encourage the research, planning, and development of urban underground spaces to improve the sustainability and resilience of cities worldwide.
Prof. Laloui is a leading expert in geotechnical engineering and has a long history of research on the use of underground space. He is a member of the Swiss Academy of Engineering Sciences SATW, the Academia Europaea and vice president for Europe of the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE).
